I choose the life of the independent scholar

I choose it! I finally got fed up reading all the sad souls out there who struggle with making philosophy a career. Oh yess....computer stuff is no permanent guarantee, but at least I can do it and I do enjoy it. I'm not saying never, but I must find a way to make independent philosophical scholarship work. I have to find a way for the hobby to work in my present world. Please show me the way God, or show me I must sell my soul and become a "pimp for my rational faculties."
